Alove- Aloe Meets Yogurt
With the new year already here I am sure most of us are scramming to the gym and shoving kale shots down our throats. To be honest, I used to really believe in the “New Year, New Me” mentality but I feel like it never worked out for me. I am not one of those people who can do the “all or nothing” when it comes to diets. That’s why this year I have decided to focus more on introducing healthier things into my life. My goal is to bring in, or substitute, a healthy workout, product or meal into my schedule every week. This way I won’t be bombarded with pressure, and I’ll actually look forward to whatever new is coming my way.
I am big on yogurt. I always have been. Yogurt parfaits are one of my favorite lunch ideas. For the most part, I stick to yogurts that do not over power my granola and fruit. I decided for the first week I would find a new yogurt to incorporate into my parfaits. That is when I came across Alove - a yogurt with actual aloe vera pieces. I always knew about the health benefits of aloe, but I could never get myself to drink those drinks with the aloe chunks- it was just not my thing. So when I saw this incorporated with the yogurt, I figured I could give it a try.
I was actually amazed at how well they blend the aloe in with the yogurt. Apparently aloe vera yogurt has been a popular treat in Japan since 1994! I had no idea. The yogurt is very smooth and reminds me a lot of European yogurt. It’s not dense like Greek yogurt, which could be the reason why the fruit and aloe combine in so well.
I’ve been eating this new yogurt for almost a week now and I am so happy I found it. Ella loves it too, and I am not mad about it.
Find Alove at a store near you and let me know how you like it.
